one last poem

From: grumpy (Original Message) - - - - Sent: 4/30/2002 9:01 PM

happiness is fleeting,
it comes and goes too fast.
i'm beginning to wonder
if true love can last.
she broke up with me
as a pre-emptive strike.
she thought i was dumping her
after a minor fight.
she must have underestimated
just how much i cared.
my heart i opened up to her,
to her my sould i bared.
i had fallen in love with her,
and now i'm feeling sorrow.
hand in hand i wanted her
facing all of life's tomorrows.
i gave her my devotion
without hesitation.
i gave her all my love
without reservation.
her happiness was my concern
she knew just how i felt.
all she had to do to me
was hold me and i'd melt.
i know she was in love with me,
i saw it in her eyes.
i never questioned her honesty,
she never told me lies.
but then when things were not so good,
and the road of life got rough
the tender steak of life we ate
suddenly got tough.
i was more committed to her
than she was to me.
but i know its over now,
my blinded eyes now see.
there's nothing left for me to do,
but sit and wonder why.
i realize the end has come,
i've no more tears to cry.

Hi Grumpy!
I must say I was touched my your poem. I could just feel every word as I read it. It makes u think of that "one that got away" and all the feelings involved within yourself. Great job!

thank you for your words of encouragement. i think i'm done writing for a while. you see, the writing is a reflection of the pain in my heart and soul, but i have since purged myself of all the pain and negativity that i was going thru. writing helped me do that, and now i feel healed and ready to move on with my life. i hold no ill will towards anyone. how could i expect jesus to forgive me of my sins if i don't forgive others the hurt they cause in my life. the only constant i have in life is my love of the lord.

May God by Cath

May God bless you greatly in every way.
May God keep you safe from harms way.
May God give you strength to always cope.
May you know with God thiers always hope.
May you believe in others and  love  them too.
May you know  God  has a plan forme and you.
May you always believe as I, God always comes through.
May you know I'm never ashamed to admit or say I love God so dearly in every way.
May you know with  God miracles  do come true, I have seen some in my lifetime too.
May you know with these words I write so true.
May you know that always with God there is a way.
May God bless you always with  my heart I pray.

Feel the Sun

From: catherine47 - - - - Sent: 4/28/2002 9:56 PM

Sometimes stop to listen to the sounds of children when its spring. The happiness they exude that this season brings.

The warmth of the sun dancing upon thier face. As they frolic playing with such innocent grace. All the endless adventures the places thier imaginations can go, will remain steadfast inside them as they mature and grow.

We all delight in children, watching them play. Recalling smiling we all once felt that way.

Through childrens eyes we too again can see. That little inner child in you and me. We often feel compelled to release that inner child of ours to come out to play.
Then with our adult eyes we forget that child in us fades away. It takes a child to remind us all, one who younger, very small.

We can all enjoy still have fun. Feeling the warmth of that early spring sun. Simply taking some time slowing down the grown up pace.

Allows the sun to shine dancing too on our face.  By Cath
