There shouldn't be so many tears.
There shouldn't be so many fears.
Yet everywhere you go they are there.
You can see pain in their faces,
Fear in their eyes.
Don't they know there's much worse to bear?
What about all who's died over there?
Isn't their fate much worse than ours?
They actually do have reason to fear.
We should walk with our heads held high.
And our hearts should be bursting with love.
At the sacrifices being made out of fear,
Over there!
Maybe next time while walking the street,
Look into these sad fearsome faces,
A word not need be spoken, just a smile.
A gentle hand to lead the way to fearless day.
Let's share our smiles to someone today!
