I had to stop and then re-group, become myself again. I know that I will love one day, its not "if" but "when". my heart went into meltdown mode, and I went crash and burn. like the phoenix I will rise again. my lesson i have learned. my heart is now a prisoner, under lock and key. it will take a special love to let my heart be free. please don't get me wrong my friend, I want to be in love. but it has to be the real thing, ordained by god above. good things come to those who wait, and I'm a patient man. I know true love will come my way... at least that is the plan. I know I fall in love too fast, its happened more than once. and then when I was pushed away, I felt just like a dunce. history repeats itself, it happened yet again. the next time that I fall in love, I know she'll be a friend. she'll tell me if I move too fast, but not get scared and run. she won't want to make it end when we've only just begun. she'll tell me if I'm overboard or when I'm out of line. she won't want to run away when things are going fine. she'll want me in her life today, tomorrow and for life. she will commit herself to me, one day become my wife. side by side together we'll age, hand in hand grow old. we'll give ourselve to one another, forever to have and hold. but there is something on my mind... a detail that I missed. this fantasy woman I write about...
