The first step The first clap The first crawl The first tooth The first word/sound The first grabbin fingers The first bite of real food The first walk with no help The first standing alone Many of these we take for granted but one stands out the most and if lucky will always be there when we are sad, or in need. When everything seems to fall down around us. That is one "first" that is always a first no matter how many times its performed or shown... And that first is: The First Smile - This is that all important first that always brings about laughter, peace, fun, joy and hope. It's what dreams are made of. It's what turns a frown into a smile and what makes a crying child/ even adult not help but share in that smiling face.
