Where once a smile appeared,
Now has turned to tears.
Where there once was laughter,
Only sadness does appear.
A heart, once caring and true,
Has turned bitter and cruel.
How much more must a heart endure
before it turns from love that was pure,
into a heart of empty reserve.
Doesn't anyone see anymore
the pain a heart endures,
When stabbed repeatedly by words that hurt.
The utter coldness that replaces the warmth.
The hatred replacing love.
The downhill spiral of a heart once true,
to rise into a heart of a darken hue.
Hurtful words do more damage to a heart
than any shotgun ever could..
Hurtful words kills the love not the heart..
Shotgun merely kills the heart not the love..
Where once was happiness and joy.
Now stands bitterness not to be enjoyed.
